Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
MediRec connects verified Canadian healthcare workers with facilities for shift staffing. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and applicable provincial legislation.
Information we collect
For workers, this can include your name, contact details, professional role and registration or licence numbers, credentials and supporting documents, work history, and availability. For facilities, this includes organisation details and the contact information of the people who manage staffing. We also collect basic technical information, such as device and usage data, to keep the service secure and working.
How we use your information
We use your information to verify credentials, match workers to shifts, operate the platform, communicate with you about your account and shifts, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to run the service. For example, a facility can see a matched worker's role and verification status, and an agency partner can review workers it manages. We also use trusted service providers, such as hosting and email delivery, who process information on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
Data storage and security
Platform data is stored in Canada. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and other safeguards to protect your information, and we limit access to those who need it to do their work.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements. You can also opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
